A well known fact about me: (if you’ve read my other blog) I LOVE organizing. Anything organization, or anything having to do with organization is like heaven to me. Organization is my porn. Truth. And that said, you would think knowing that about me, would mean that my house is like a bliss of perfection organization, right?
I wish it were true. I really do. I try my best, like anyone else to keep things organized but anyone with a family will tell you, it’s not that easy. But I’ve gotten much worse since I’ve had kids. Prior to that, I was super organized and kept things very well maintained. Now I’m lucky if my daughter’s hair is combed before we leave the house. Bonus if she actually matches.
Top it off with having had surgery a few weeks ago, and my house is a wreck. Nothing is where it should be, and every time I try to keep it organized, it ends up getting messed up again. I need organization in my life. I thrive on it. Without it, I unravel, and I make for a not-so-pretty mama.
So when I stumbled across the 31 Days event over at The Inspired Room, I thought what better way to get back into my groove? So I’ve decided I’m going to do “31 Days of finding my (inner) organization:
I haven’t yet thought about my weekly outline. I still have a few days to organize it, but I’m thinking it’s going to be a different room each day, and then finding different types of methods for each room. I’m starting off the project with my tiny pantry. That’s one place that always seems to get messy the fastest.
I’m excited to take on this challenge. And let me tell you, it’s definitely going to be a challenge, especially with the addition slated to start on Thursday. But I think it’s one well worth tackling, prior to its completion, so that we don’t have a nightmare of a mess on our hands once it’s done.
